i guess the feeling of not being in the same space accelerates the process of time and space.

Haven't been blogging for so long, just wanted to add this entry down to state that i'm finally stepping into a new journey :)
A journey which have been postponed numerals times.
looking back at what had happened in the past
brings back mixtures of memories
the good ones
and the bad ones

But whichever it may be, it's educational and meaningful in it's own way.

out of all events i still find Cosfest one of the best beside AFA.
Cosfest was the first cosplay event I've attended, and the most memorable ! I really had fun at the event and managed to know a few cosplayers. despite, our group being very inactive.
It's quite a pity as we didn't walk around much, therefore, i don't really have much photos of us.

Exciting but slightly overrated !

I'm back from Hong Kong. Never felt better being able to return home.
overall experience was quite pleasant, other than the heavily polluted air and dripping air-con water everywhere we walked.
It was truly a "back-breaking" experience after all the shopping we did.

but every time i relate back, my urge disappear as my instinct takes over.

Have been away for awhile now, updates are as rare as usual. But to those who are concerned/curious about my life.

Here's a little something that I've have been up to lately.

Zone-00 : Kurobara Rouji(right)

For those who still haven't figure out why i'm posting you this page from the comic, guess no further ! I'm going cosplay as Kurobara Rouji from Zone-00 (not a very popular manga here though) It's going to be my first attempt on cosplay-ing, and i've been preparing/researching on him.

Below are some of the sketches I've done in preparation for the costume.

Ever since the break up, i have learn to protect myself.

Not easily revealing my feelings, and in the process bury emotions.

I blocked away my chances of having any possible relationship, due to the fact that i was once bitten and have yet fully recovered from it.

Haven't been updating my blog very often, too many things had happened during my absence from my blog but everything is fine and well.

Currently doing my last module at MDIS before leaving for Aus for further study this July. Basically slacking off the rest of my week at home or helping out dad.

I really need to find a job before leaving and earn some extra allowance since I'm already old enough to be independent and start earning my own living expenses.

Anyway besides slacking at home (reading books from the library, watching videos, listening to music, chatting with friends, gym-ing , etc..) I've been taking photos at events like AFA (Anime Festival Asia), E.O.Y. (End of Year Cosplay), S.O.Y. (Start of Year Cosplay) and at NUS for Engineering Magazine and also doing layouts designs for articles.

Will attempt my first very own article soon for the magazine if the draft is approved :)

HAPPY 2010 !! My very first post of the year, though it's 7 days late. But who cares !! it's a new year and a new beginning.

1. Getting my Driving license

4. Got my own DSLR (Scarlett sweetheart !)

7. A new family car (very much like my own, because I'm the main user)
8. Got to know cosplay friends !
9. Replacing my 2 years buddy with Iphone !
10. Finally got the chance to keep my hair long
11. Waited for idols @ the Airport
12. Learned to better appreciate myself and my family
13. Learned to never forget the pain and heartaches, which make me a stronger person.

Actually 8, 9 and 10 are highlights of 2009, no actual learning value

An illusion we have created

Regardless of the comments/thoughts one might say, I've done what was right to me. Not to prove anything to others but to protect what's more important.

I've once lost something that meant a lot to me and went through all the hurt to become who I'm now, though not perfect but from this imperfections i realised that life isn't all about having things going your way, but to learn from obstacles which hinders you along this journey.

My actions of removing jul from my entire facebook network was done solely for the purpose of shielding myself from seeing/knowing what she's doing. It wasn't meant for her to know, but unfortunately this news spread to her like wildfire and got one of my closest friend involved.
Never would i have expected her to react in such manner (Due to my lack of explanation, as i wanted to take some time alone) but thank god, the problem is solved now.

Jul was once an important person in my life (she still is for now at least.) but I've decided to cut connection like what she did. I'm not angry with her nor am i doing all this to gain anyone's attention. Let this be the last time you would ever see her name appearing on my blog.

ahhhh.. back to my normal self :)

AFA '09 was a blast !!
2 full day of photo taking was insanely intense, as there were more photographer than cosplayers.
and after 2 days of standing and squatting with my heavy camera, I managed to snap over 1000+ photos. what an achievement XD

Anyway this year's cosplay definitely show significant improvements in terms of costume and character selection, both epic wins and epic failures ! haha. but shall keep those epic failures as personal collection.

anyway a little update on my life. I'm doing pretty well with my studies and of course gym-ing regularly too. but the only problem is i still sleep really late. like 3-4 am ?

back to my new toy, i need a upgrade of my desktop !! i can't play it in high quality and the game lags badly due to the graphic even at low settings. arghhhh !! But i can forget about upgrade for the moment cause i need to save up for hk trip before getting a new desktop, and there's no way dad is gonna get a new desktop for no apparent reason.

p.s. i won a Rubik's cube from mac !! LOVE IT !

I love the weather this few days, if you not know I'm actually a rain person. The weather is cooling and sound of the raindrops.
No, doesn't include the occasional thunder and honking of cars.

I had a few dreams of her for the past few days. do i still misses her ?
I hope not, haha. it's been quite awhile now and I'm getting used to days without her.

Modern humans are we really modern ? i say we are still the same as our primitive ancestors.
why despite the current advance in technology we still fail at giving a consistency on our emotional aspect such as kinship, friendship and relationship?

it's simple, let me give you some cases to see why.

Case 1:
Monday - I love my family and they mean a lot to me, a simple dining experience outside feels extraordinary and warm.
Tuesday - Bad start , Bad ending of my day. Thanks to my mother etc... spare a thought please !

Conclusion:
One moment you love your family and next you blame them and get pissed off by them because they can't understand your demands.
ok, maybe we can cut some slack here. Sometimes they really do give you problems which spoils your day but must you go about saying how bad they are and etc etc...
What makes me confuse is that you can show the world how much you love your family and next you just put them on top of your annoying list.
where's the love yo ?!

Case 2:
2007 - Hey buddy, you are my best friend and i never want to lose you. Thanks for being there for me through those harsh periods and years.
2009 - Hey buddy, i really do hope to see you soon. But I'm busy with my life right now (as I'm busy waiting for my enlistment, chilling at home with my girl)

Conclusion:
What a strong friendship you got there, you were there for them but where are they when you needed them ?

Case 3:
Monday- i really enjoyed everything over the past few weeks. SWEET !
Tuesday- F*ck ! why do i have to go through all this shit of missing somebody ! I hate love !

Conclusion:
simple, no expectation no disappointment. Just look forward to the next date instead of whining over not seeing someone for a day/week ?

Not trying to be a wet blanket here or a sour grape, it's just make me wonder. Why can't our love for someone/something be consistent ?
Shows how"advance" we are in this 21st century. But are we ?

It's good to hang out with hq friends after all this while, it seems like nothing had changed much since we orded. Other than Jun Qi that is, haha! But his time is coming soon 1 more working day left for him.
Went to giraffe for dinner, and had garlicky chicken !!! Nothing much had change after I left, the service is still as bad and our food was only served after waiting for an hour and numorious reminder to the server.
Definitely not implying that my service was bad k! In fact I receive quite a number of positive feedback from the customers.
Despite the bad service we still very much enjoyed the ambience there. And no we are not holding another gathering there.

Anyway side track, I have finished my report after a long period of procastination!! The satisfaction ! Amazing.

On my way to school now, dread ! But for the seek of knowledge, it worth while.

Finally I have decided to turn my blog private. And for those who are invited, welcome to my world.
Let me recap on what have happened so far.
Yes, I'm single now as you can see and yes I was rather emo then. But not anymore, pure serendipity I must say.
And yes, I'm fine and quite enjoying life like this.
It time to drop the fantasy and face the real world. With my new found love scarlett and my iPhone.

I'm on my mission to forget her and move on so that I can better focus on the current tasks and goals I have for myself an very much my parents hopes too. It's been a difficult period of time few months back, new found freedom since i've orded and a ugly breakup.
Also yes the heartaches but I'm glad it all happened, not saying that I've enjoyed it. But at least I saw the true colors of what human are capable of even when you thought you know that person.

Randomness, have watched a few good films recently and found some inspiration from them. Movies like 500 days of summer makes you realise that even thought forgetting someone is difficult but if given enough time you will find back your true passion and motivation. Provided you don't die before that. Haha
another very inspiring movie is julie and julia, it simply motivational and go watch it for yourself : )

exam will be coming in around 1 month time. And after Which I will be flying off to hk for a
getaway : )
hopefully I can earn enough money to fund my expedition.

Realizing certain things in life if given a chance to choose a short lived happiness for the sorrowness you get after. I would choose not to have made that decision and know that person. Some might say I'm stuck in the past, but to me I'm
just doing reflection so to better equip myself for future challenges.

It's not totally a waste of time, in fact it's a very valuable lesson to see one true colors. Turn out the person you thought you know, is just an illusion you created for yourself and that reality is merciless.

when the first light touches my face, and the first breath i take on a Sunday. i realised i have grown 1 year older. it's my birthday today, but i totally have no feeling of celebrating it.

It definitely gonna be a memorable one like many of my first experience, not in a good way but well memorable. My first valentine's time with my gf, we quarreled a day before valentine's and i couldn't even remember what we did that day except for the fact that i think we did went out.
My 1st anniversary in a r/s, started with waiting for morning tuition to end and ended with her going to work, and what did we do ? i hardly remember. but they were definitely oddly memorable.

There's still a long long road for me to walk. i really wish to take good care of my parents and provide them their well deserved retirement despite my mom being a house maker.
and also have a closely bonded family relation, since recently mom and dad isn't on very good terms.

happy birthday Tze hui, remember you have dreams and ambition in your life which you very much want to do and experience. this 21st birthday shall mark the day which you are given a new life, a life of adulthood. Independent and resposible!
It's only going to get better down the road, you deserve to be normal and happy like everyone else :)

Alright i shall take this opportunity to make a wish, i wish that I'll be happy and forget all those unwanted memories not entirely r/s but life in general, be it friends , work or studies.
Life is beautiful and full of surprises, don't just sit there and sulk, walk and turn your head, see the things around you. The earth you are stepping on, be proud and contented that you are able to live a healthy life which not everyone is entitled to.

Something is bothering me but i can't describe it, it's like logic vs instinct.
My instincts tells me that it's safe and harmless through 1 year odd of experience and understanding, but my logic clearly tells me to avoid danger like what my motto suggest "What you don't know, don't hurt you."
Thanks to my very "high" EQ I'm back in the loop of thoughts, which in turn has become an obstacle to my path.

Is it true ? or it is not ?
I'm curious i must say, but curiosity sometimes only bring unwanted result. And by now i would have been the best example of this series of misfortune.

gravitation i despise. we all submit to its mercy and operate under it's demand but those who dream big, came out with airplanes and rockets maybe in the future we might even invent teleportation machines or time traveling machines ?
that's a big if.
But if you were to travel back in time would you choose to change your past ?
For me personally i would choose not to have done several things which had happened so far. But in reality we have to be practical :) that's what I've learn after breathing for twenty nearing 1 year.

Soaked with the energy gathered last night, I'm ready to kick start my week maybe for 2 hours ?!
after a weekend of noon naps, i concluded that the more you sleep the sleepier you get. at least this applies to me. Yawns*

came upon this very interesting blog post saying if you were to be given 2 option to a scenario which would you choose

a) knowing that all happiness comes to an end and experience the down side, but still do it.
b) knowing that all happiness comes to an end and avoid so there's no unhappiness.
it's a rough idea so ya.

i personally choose option A, well lets face it we all know everything comes to an end. But why do i still choose it ?reason is simple, you only have ONE life to live why deny yourself the chance to experience something wonderful ?
That's my logic at least, you take up the chance to experience and change not only yourself but maybe other people around you as well, despite knowing that someday it will come to an end. Getting the best of out it rather then missing the chance to do so.
and yes it's worth it ! even knowing the downside, and which choice you make doesn't have with a price ?

I shall state a reason why i didn't choose option B over A, it's simple, if you choose to avoid then you wouldn't learn anything at the end of the day. And what you get is nothing more than being a hermit in your own world of utopia, which at some point of time will be shattered by the cruel reality.

if you are thinking who is Scarlett it's actually the new love i was talking about in my previous post. kinda misleading i know but well she change my perspective of life through a lens :)

I've grown tremendously compared to the past 2 months or 3 ? i no longer feel miserable, no longer desire, no longer dead mentally and physically.

I actually saw her at 15 minutes 2 days back, and thought well since the accidental bump wasn't as bad as i expected as it would be on our first encounter. So i decided to drop her a couple of smses so to catch up, but what comes next wasn't what i expected. Nevertheless, it was unpleasant. But guess like what most people will say "i asked for it." HAHAHA. Alright i better get my ass off the chair to prepare for lesson now.

Just woke up from this weird dream again, the frequency is increasing.

In my dream, Mom was very repulsive towards the r/s or more exact her while the rest of my family were rather supportive.
she was at my place, but mom tired to chase her out. We retaliate but came to no avail but she ingeniously came up with an idea which managed to even fool me.
and the dream ended up as i woke up from my slumber.

It's just plain annoying to me, hopefully this kind of dream ends with this.

it's been so long since have such dreams, unpredictable would be best fit the description.

If you haven't know i have left giraffe to take a break from work, and concentrate on living my life to the fullest :) yes i do enjoy working in giraffe but every good thing ends which applies to this as well.

Caught the ugly truth ♥ yesterday!

An anticipated movie and indeed it beats my expectation hands down ! :)
Though some assumptions are stereotyping men and woman, but just give it a good laugh ! haha.
Watching this film reminds me how much i like to watch good movies, it brings you different aspect of life which you don't have to experience yourself and brought to life by the director and actors/actresses.

The chemistry between Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler was fantastic ! or should i say we see what we want ? haha.
anyway DO NOT MISS THIS MOVIE ! it's really hilarious ! And remember to flick the bean ! :X

younger kids are happy because they take things very simple, that's why they are happy. But if you see things being complicated then you will find a lot of problems hindering you.

it's really good to feel needed

but because of your expectations you have disappointments .
there are many stages in life. but this stage of my life. it's going to be studies, friends and family.
i will take this opportunity to piece myself back together.
i really do need to save some grace and dignity for myself. and self-pity isn't going to help in any way.

It's my rights to laugh when i feel like and cry when have to. There's no need to hide, the more i restrict myself the more it bounce back to hit me.
But i can't mix this up, there are time when i should be happy but I'm not because i was affected by other reasons, but right now there's nothing more important than moving forward.
I have made many mistakes throughout the period after ending of my r/s which resulted the situation I'm in now, and she have every rights to break away from me. (needless to say)
I only have myself to blame for all and I'm not going to self-pity or ask for anyone to pity me, i have to stand up on my own feet and walk towards my happiness.
I still have a lovely family despite frequently getting pissed by my mom. haha !
and loving friends who stood by me, though only a few but all are truly what i call "friend"

I really thank her for giving me such an important lesson in life, and apologise for causing her all those unwanted moments. Our path might be different now but i guess we both just want the best out of our life.
I'm learning
it's not going to be easy. But at least i learn even if it's in a harder way.

This year's B&J's chuck fest wasn't as good as i expected. The band wasn't playing and the ice cream wasn't free as compared to last year's fest !! haha. what can i expect, the economy is bad now.

Recently life have been quite routine, not saying that it isn't good in fact i feel it's better :)
and life is only going to get better. haha.
i guess it's too late to apologise ? haha. things which been done after, overshadowed everything that was good initially.

And i only got it at $99 dollars compared to most other outlet which sell them at $169 !! MUAHAHAHA ! what a loot (despite costing almost 100 dollars)

Day 2 at school. pretty much the same as another other school days, learning new things and fighting to stay awake.
met a new friend today also happen to be a fellow Libra, but an extreme case of Libra matching all Libra qualities.

Recap on connections, there are 3 different ways to connect simplex, half duplex and the full duplex.
on a simplex layout, one cable can only transfer in a single direction.
On a half duplex layout, one cable allows exchange of file in both directions but only one direction at a time.
While on a full duplex layout, one cable allows simultaneously transferring.
If only i could fix on the duplex layout, things might have been more smooth.

But anyway, i have decided to go oversea to study next year :) but a better degree and different culture to experience.

Had a really long dream last night. Even had a continuation after i woke up in the middle of the night.

I dreamt that i was in a war fighting with Japanese soldiers ? Can't remember very clearly but i was with my cousin ah sheng, and he was backing me up with ammunition. Its really sad to see people dieing around you in an instant, how fragile life when you are standing on a battlefield.

The second part of my dream, i was with jul. We were having difficulties in our relationship due to her mom disapproval, we were very much in love but her mother already had plan her life ahead of her. And apparently her mom thought that i was an obstruction to jul's perfect life.
we fought really hard and long to seek her approval, but with no avail. Her mother pulled her away.
our finger tips were just inches away when she pulled jul. We cried and that feeling was too intensely overwhelming and that was the last scene before i woke up.

some funny part to the dream was that jul's brother Barry actually pass a can of coke to my cousin ah sheng. haha. and they seems quite amused by the can and was having a discussion ?-.- hahaha ! LAME !

Had quite a full meal at Manhattan Fish market northpoint outlet. and borrowed a book from the library :)

Civilian life week : 1

My long awaited civilian life wasn't what i expect it to be.
Yes i do enjoy the freedom i now have, but having nothing to do can really bore someone to death ! And just as i thought things couldn't get any worst, i was wrong !
I'm stuck at home because everyone (including me) want to save some $$ before school starts and we have got no time to find a job as we ORD just few weeks before school.
Still need sometime to adjust to my new found freedom. haha !

Anyway have been job hunting for part time since last week. so far the most hopeful one is giraffe (restaurant/bar/lifestyle) the interview went smooth and guoce will be starting work at fish and co. which happen to be under the same organization as giraffe.
Feeling kinda excited about work but not exactly looking forward to it cause school starts on 17th Aug for me.
Mixture of feelings, one part of me wants to enjoy the freedom i have newly acquired but another part of me wants to do something more productive then just slacking away.
have to wait till work starts for me before i decide to slack or work since it's just a part time job !

Just for the record, I started learning guitar for about near a month now :) and i gotten a FG720S Yamaha to began with ! hahaha !

The past few days had been a trip to realization for me. Human being would only understand the pain and agony of not cherishing someone when they eventually lose them, this is only natural as we tend to take things for granted.
I didn't realize that slowly i was changing, i used to be very understanding and thoughtful because i knew what i wanted for her which is for her to be happy, simple yet rewarding.
But slowly i became calculative, and started to measure love. It was such a fool of me to have forgotten what makes me, me !
to conclude, I've fully understand what i want for myself and for her. Happiness !

BMT Gathering

It been almost 2 years since we enlisted into National Service, those memories from BMT(basic military training) are still as fresh as a daisy.
Though it was only 7 weeks of training together, the bond between us were much greater then any ordinary friendships. Throughout our training, we perspired, we ran, we marched, we sang , we encouraged each others and we shared joy or even cried together during our harder times.
Those harsh condition created a bond that was unbreakable, we depended on each other for support and motivation to carry on our tough training.

Met up with the guys yesterday, because Wei Jian will be ORD-ing before us as he's disrupting for further studies in Australia/Queensland.
It wasn't a easy task to gather everyone but I'm happy that my efforts was well rewarded.
Went to 15 minutes at Bugis/Lasalle for dinner and drink !

Anyway we sat down and ordered our food and beer, the food was delightful and our conversations was just as good. The GOOD OLD DAYS !
After 3 good hours of chatting and food, we left the place and took some ORD photos for Wei Jian so he can take a look when he's in Australia. I KNOW YOU WILL MISS US ! good brother !

04 July !! Our 1st year anniversary

it has been a year since we gotten together, time really passes by quickly.
recap for the past 365 days, We had fair shares of good times and bad times, happy moments and down periods. But nevertheless, Jul was always there for me when i needed her, her patient towards my temper, ego and demands were without boundaries (though, surely there must be a limit to her patience) I have been rather childish and unreasonable occasionally, but she will always stay calm and handle the situation whom others would just gave up. I thank her from the very depth of my heart for taking care of such a silly big boy like me. : )

The show wasn't as bad as i thought it would be, haha ! but the 3-D doesn't make any difference except for the ticket price. Well it looks more like a 2-D animation despite the "3-D" effects.
If are thinking of watching this movie, i would suggest you watch it during the night cause you won't want to hear children talking/screaming while watching the show!!

I passed my driving test last friday ! with a 14 points demerit.
basically the main contribution was from a lady (i believe is a lady from china) whom was walking on the side of the road instead of the proper walking path just 1 meter beside. which caused me 6 demerits and the rest are some minor mistakes.

just ranting : )

ahhhh.. blogger is the best to turn to when i'm having a sleepless night when all other are sleeping safe and sound on their bed.

I'm getting lazier by the days, if you have noticed i have left my blog untouched for quite some time.
it's not because i didn't have to blog, but every time i enter my blogger page my mind would blank out.

even now I'm managing every ounce of my strength to type this out.

Driving test is tomorrow, pretty confident about passing my test but as i have said complacency shall never be allowed ! also i'm counting down to ORD-ing from the service(Hell)
talking about hell, hahaha i have drag kristen to hell (Tekong) earlier this week as he's enlisting into national service.

upon setting foot on tekong's soil, a sudden nostalgic feeling struck me. It reminded me of the moment when i was like him, new to this unfamiliar environment and what's ahead for new enlistees.
To me it feels like just any other days, maybe because of the fact that I have been 1 year 10 months into the service. but regardless, the feel isn't pleasant due to the certitude changes ahead of them.

Took this photo yesterday when i got home. have been seeing full moon for the pass few days so decided to take a photo of it, noticed how the reflection stretches on the water surface?

like the ever changing weather lately, i been having some emotional malfunction too, but i'm glad to say everything kinda seems settled now or at least. HAHA !
but thanks to those who are concerned i really appreciate it : )

Anyway I'm only days away from my driving test and i'm pretty confident that i can do it ! but still i'm constantly remind myself not to be complacence with the test and end up failing badly. Higher the hope the higher the disappointment when fall.

And i think i'm no longer afraid of visiting the dentist. Thanks to the recent consistent visits to my dentist for my endodontic therapy which in layman's term means"root canal treatment", for those who still don't know, it's actually a series of treatments which involves drilling, cleaning and filling up the pulp of my right 2nd last molar tooth.
left with one last visit for the crowning and i'm ready to sink my right set of teeth down on solid food.

oh ya, almost forgot to show off what jul bought me !

I'm feeling quite sick of army already. fatigue-ridden and work like a zombie during office hours. It's suffocating me but I'm only left with 30 more working days before i breath the air of freedom !

Gonna blog about what happened on Sunday.
Woke up pretty (8 am) early in the morning for my driving revision at SSDC, i'm quite proud to say that I'm doing rather fine now clearing the circuit to me is a walk in the park. But i'm still quite weak in lane changing, cause i often abrupt lane change.

After driving for 2 hours, went down to AMK mac for breakfast with jul at 10 but she was late XD haha ! -this line sole purpose is to make you feel guilty- TeeeHeee.

shall skip the grandmother story and just summarize my day
went to vivo -trained-> Dhoby ghuat -walked-> Lucky plaza -walked-> Fareast plaza -trained-> back home

My leg took all the soreness after one whole day of walking and standing (soreness partly due to the previous day basketball) but i truly enjoyed our date.

Went to Republic Poly today to meet yt for lunch, cause he's currently working as a tem staff there.

supposed to meet him 11.30 but couldn't reach him on the phone ! and i have already reached the place. wondered around for 15 mins and finally felt a vibration from my pocket. unfortunately he turned his phone off to silence and was apparently waiting for me to call him. -.-

well, basically we walked around the campus and went to staff area where students are restricted from entering. Upon putting down my bag on the chair i noticed a wallet on the other chair beside where yt was sitting on.
"hey is that your wallet yt?"
"No, i thought it's yours"

so i took the LV wallet up and flipped through for the person's name card or any form of contact.
found his name card and dialed his number.
and from the conversation he was rather unsurprised and wasn't showing any form of gratitude.
so regretted returning him his wallet ! XD but well .. i suppose some people are not always as thankful as norms .

He did said thanks once ?

what's worst was he asked "How did you guys know my number ah ?"
"sorry, we look through your wallet to find your name card."
"oh.. ok." - Left-

well well .. so much for doing a good deed. Nevertheless, returning the wallet to his rightful owner was the politically correct thing to do.

X-Men origin (Wolverine) - 3. Some part of the CG wasn't very well edited but Hugh Jackman take up for the lost !
Those are the movies which i have watched and a number of DVDs haha Handsome suit is one of them !!

Hmmm a little personal life update,
Have been playing basket ball rather actively recently :D haha it's been so long since i last shot a hoop, feel GREAT !
and i'm still waiting for my Driving Test date !
Also Juliana and I managed to cook Dinner and it was pretty much a success ! haha. Japanese Curry !
This reminds me of Restaurant City !! HAHAH i have been dragged into the game by Jul and now i'm even more hardcore then her XD

I PASSED IT !! YEAH !! it took me 15 mins to finish everything and i proudly say i was the first to leave the room and i passed !! : ) hehehe.
another 7 more lessons to clear and I'm on my way to traffic police test and my driving license soon !!

Work has been ok for me so far, some minor set backs but still manageable. All i can say is after i ORD work will pile up for sure ! unless my colleague start taking initiative with work, and i seriously hope that my understand would be a a responsible one but i hope he won't be pushed around.

anyway.. I'm only months from ORD-ing (3 to be exact, haha !)

Has been a long while since i last record my memories within this blog, well much had happened within the missing period which i was away(from this blog that is) just for the record, I'm doing fine : )

The previous Sentosa outing with my HQ friends, No one brought cameras along but this time round there were 3 cameras ! more then enough i suppose as my camera was in its pouch throughout.

Arrived with Joel at Harbour front Station sharp at 8P.M. and to our surprise everyone was early, on time or slightly late.

OH ya !! Almost forgotten about this funny incident at the station. Marcus, Chee meng, Joel and I were the first few to arrive. As we were rather hungry, we went to the nearby stall and bought some snacks to munch on. While we were happily chatting and munching away on our breakfast, we heard an announcement made by the SMRT staff "Please be reminded, that no EATING or drinking is allowed within the station." (fyi, it wasn't the recorded version)
our immediate action was to fled the station! hahaha !! after settling at one corner, we blasted out in laughters XD

Arrived at the beach station and walked over to the exact same spot we went the previous trip. but only more dramas this time round, as Jun Qi accidentally got the volleyball stuck onto the middle of a coconut tree.

With all our wits and might, we tried climbing up the tree, throwing our basket ball up(ended stuck with the volleyball !! call that unlucky !) and trying to shake the tree but all effort came to no avail.

Finally we were tired and out of wits, after several attempts to climb the tree we attracted quite a number of unwanted on-lookers even have tourists taking our photos while we were at it.

Took a day off yesterday from work to rest at home :)
was rather a constructive day.

9 a.m. - Woke up from bed.
10 a.m. - Watched Channel News Asia while i eating junks from the fridge as breakfast.
11 a.m. - Surfing Online randomly and Checking out Anime/Manga Updates.
12 p.m. - Took my printer and traveled down to Yishun to get it fixed.
-Was a really HOT day-
1 p.m. - Went back to my lao jia (Previous home) area to buy their "famous" Chicken rice(s) for lunch.
2 p.m. - (Reached home)Happily munching down on my chicken rice.
2.30 p.m. - Cleaning up my room and mopping the floor
3 p.m. - Extend mopping to the living room and kitchen :)
3.30 - Watched Madagascar 2 dvd with my mei mei (which i have rented for her since monday !)
5 p.m. - Cycle out to return the DVD and get alumina foil my chicken drumlets ( Specially prepared for Jul) although it's pre-made :X
6 p.m. - Went to the station to fetch her up for dinner !
7 p.m.-8.45 p.m. - Catching up time (Haven't had a decent meet up since march ?)
9 p.m. - Send her down to hail a cab

she has been busy mugging for her end of year exams. the reason why we haven't been meeting up lately.
And I'm currently busy with my driving lessons :) !

Many times did i wanted to blog but couldn't find enough courage to type in here. some sensitive issues and other time about what I'm going through/thinking.

Through this 1 year plus in NS i have matured a lot, met many good people from different walks of life and also met Juliana :)
I'm glad that they have entered my life through this period of time.
We have been through tough times(BMT [basic military training] and BMC[basic medic course]) and smooth times (HQ Life, less physical demanding) i want to take this opportunity to thank them.
My BMT Bunkmate Kennyfor the support given during BMT.
My Tekong buddies - Wei jian, Guoce, Gerard and Shirong
My HQ Friends - Joel(lunch Buddy) and Ying Tang(my colleague)
BMC - Wei Siang for not scolding me when i miss my shots, whom ended up taking more of my needles ! hahahaa
Through them I understand that even though this wasn't the happiest period (NS), we can still pull through this together side by side as we marched towards our freedom !

Lastly the one person that has made the most impact within my NS years.
I met her in a very unusual manner (facebook). but I'm glad that i send her that message with typos ! hahahaha !! which started everything.
Till this very day, I'm still quite amazed that I actually managed to have such a girl friend ! haha
With her i began to change. Changes which i never thought i would be possible, changing to be a better person. Not just for her, but for myself :)

This is kinda randomly but those are my heartfelt words.

P.S. i finally bought haagen dazs for my family ! heh.

It's been ages since we last gathered. the last one was hmmm probably our chalet 3 years back ?

Went to Catch a movie "Race to Witch Mountain" It wasn't really bad but due the the abrupt ending, the movie only get 2.5 stars from me.
Did lots of catching up while walking to far east plaza. despite the very long hours spend together. It was really a nice meet up for everyone. pardon me for leaving earlier k ? XD

Lyna and Me ! height different of 180 - 147? = 33cm !!!!

I passed my Final Theory Trial Test yesterday despite going there 30% unprepared, i still managed to pass my test with 48/50 questions correct :) well i did read my final theory book but some questions during the test are not found in the book itself, most are just common sense questions on read scenario.
will be booking my Final theory test at the next available date ! I want my driving license !!!

P.s. Thanks for being so ultra patient with me, despite the umpteen times which i just flare up (mild manner) and thanks for noticing the changes in me ! hahaha indeed my EQ have grown significantly :)

I'm dumping money into my driving lessons ! OK, my dad's money :X hahahaha !
Currently I'm Taking manual lessons but let's just say that I'm beginning to regret XD
let's break down the advantages and disadvantages of having a manual license.

-Pros-

The initial thought of getting a manual license is that it would be recognized internationally, so i can actually driving at foreign country (HK, Australia, Europe etc..)

Also I'm not just limited to normal vehicle, i could also driving a van or a mini lorry(i supposed)

-Cons-

Manual license is more difficult to attain

When you are in a traffic jam with a manual car, you have to maintain clutching or half clutching in order to not stall the car

And the biggest cons of driving a manual in Singapore
what are the chances of Singaporeans driving a manual car ? its almost zero !

Overall result - the cons wins against the pros !

basically I'm just here to tell everyone, if you are taking a driving license. Don't take up manual driving, go auto instead !

Driving mania !

Took half day leave for my driving today because i managed to book a session at 1.05 p.m. this morning :) although i originally have a lesson on 5.55 p.m.
2 lessons a day is really tough especially on rainy days.
It rained so heavily that it soaked my shoe while i was on my way to SSDC (Singapore Safety Driving Center) so i decided to head back after my 2 hours of driving to get my shoe changed. it was so uncomfortable driving with wet, cold feet.

Let me recall what i happened the past 2 days.
met Juliana after so long ! and finally managed to past a full day with her.
Went to catch "Marley and Me" although it is not as good as the book itself but they manage to capture some of the emotional moments.
overall i would still recommend people to not read the book before watching the movie.
and after a movie, we trained back to my place and rented a "Transformer(DVD)" on our way back :)
it's still a very nice movie even though i have watched it 2 years back.
anyway a snap shot of my surprise present.

Rented a DVD yesterday from 24hr DVD machine nearby.
The initial thought of renting this DVD was purely because of Scarlett Johansson, without much information about this movie.

But the movie turn out to be brilliant, not because of Scarlett Johansson alone, but the movie itself.

Its about 2 American Vicky and Christina(best friends)
-Vicky who character is a very realistic and know what she wants in life, to her love is all about commitment.
Christina on the other hand is polar different from Vicky, Christina is very special, she doesn't know what she wants but she knows what she don't want. And often throw herself out to experience "true" passionate love, not minding about the hurt which often occur.

having a summer holiday in Barcelona, met an artist named Juan Antonio which later charmed both ladies and changed their view point of life.

Definitely a DVD recommended for all.

My ideal age of getting married would be at 27. when i finished my education and have a stable income.
Getting married at the age of 23 would be a total disaster ! Just imagine after i finished my NS - age 21 (This coming July) only starting in year 2 of uni (presumably if i start my studies this year) and have a wife ?!
that's just too much for me to handle.
I'm not saying that getting married earlier isn't good. In fact, i quite like the idea but only when you have already found a soul mate.

It's just the education part and the financial criteria wouldn't be attained. therefore, marriage at that point of time would only be financially taxing :X just my POV

firstly a video i have watched lately, it's a short yet brilliant film.
The story plot has it's unique originality, although the actors/actresses didn't speak but through their expression you are able to receive what they portrait.
it's definitely a film worth your 12 minutes !

how was it ? Absolutely flawless RIGHT ? it's just perfect ! i especially like the part when the female lead dancing with the breast drawn on a paper.

recently much things had happened, majority are negative issues basically revolving around my life such as work, r/s and friends etc.

the worst was non other then work which directly affects my daily life e.g. r/s which is linked to friends.

but everything is fine now :) ok not everything just r/s and friends. As for work, i don't wish to elaborate on it.

It have been another long while since i last blogged.

I had my very first Valentine's day spend with Juliana♥.

it's a special non-typical V day, unlike other couples we didn't have candlelight dinner at some fancy restaurant.

We only had a simple lunch together and a stroll around the mall. But that was special enough, cause I'm spending time with her.

Anyway some movies update.

caught "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" and "Underworld:Raise of the Lycans"

i quite like both movies, each have their strong points and weak points.

Let's review on curious case of Benjamin button, it's a very nice move, very detailed story-line, very good CG(computer graphics) and very charming actors/actresses.

despite it's marvelous story plot, it might appear too draggy for some cause its a almost 3 hours show. shall not reveal spoilers. Basically what it wants the audience to know is that love have no boundaries and to cherish people/things which are important to you.

As for Underworld, if you are no a vivd fan of Vampires or Lycans(Werewolf) then it might be quite boring for you as compared to previous series of Underworld which is more action packed.

It shows the history of why Lycans and Vampires were at war so to better understand the series of Underworld. But due to its less actions-more dialogues play style, it will definitely bore people who have not watch previous Underworlds.

My desktop can't be started, reason because someone used it without my permission and now all my photos are GONE ! -.-

But thank god i sensed something amiss and did a backup of my photos on 2 Feb. PHEW !

i REALLY hate people tampering with my stuff. without permission or with little knowledge to gadgets.

it's easier to spoil something then to fix something especially when it comes to electronic products/gadget.

After checking through my desktop, i manage to locate the source of problem causing my desktop to shut down upon loading the windows startup screen.

it's some hard disk problem via software.

probably someone shut down my desktop without properly updating my windows. Hence, windows system 32 had a missing file and there's a bigger problem, my CD-ROM isn't loading my windows disc ! arghhhh .... !

how frustrating it can be ! totally kills my mood. -_-

cursed Solitaire it's all your FAULT ! stupid game ! argghhh !

anyway i haven been updating much on my life.

i have been doing well with life (generally outside SAF)

well it's quite a chore going to work, when you know that you are going to face difficult colleague. Welcome to the Real world Terrence Lim ! i know life isn't fair, it's not about how hard you work but how to work smart.

And curse those smokers ! its just isn't fair, why are smoker entitled to smoking break while non-smokers had to take arrows while they are happily puffing away ?

Lastly to those who only work hard when they are in trouble/given warnings.

I'm Back !

First of all Happy Chinese New Year !
Thanks to the bad economic, ang bao this year had shrink greatly.

I'm glad that all has ended well.
I can't be more thankful that Jul had such tremendous patience with me, and took all those trouble just to get me back to my normal self.

All i can say that is " I have been extremely self-centered and narrow minded for the past couple of days."

Shall Change for the better, YES I CAN !

Anyway, I finally saw Jul's dad !
Cause he came back from hk to celebrate CNY

It was quite nerves racking for me even before meeting her dad after hearing so much about her dad which gave me the impression that he's rather protective.
but to my surprised that it all went well ^^
her dad was he's friendly and welcoming but definitely not someone you want to mess with.
Yes he's protective but not over whelming
Throughout the dinner we chatted about traveling experiences and cultures of different countries, and exchanged opinions.
Overall it was a pleasant dinner

Haha I have finally conquer the fear of meeting the parents ! or rather completed the process XD
But I'm not sure how well i fare :X hope i did well : )

Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a distinct slow down in overall system performance , particularly in the flower and jewellery applications , which operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0 ..

In addition , Husband 1.0 uninstalled many other valuable programs , such as
Romance 9.5 and
Personal Attention 6.5 , and then installed undesirable programs such as

Mid-Night Soccer 5.0 ,
NBA 3.0 and
Golf Clubs 4.1 ..

Conversation 8.0 no longer runs , and Housecleaning 2. 6 simply crashes the system.

Please note that I have tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems , but to no avail.

What can I do?

DEAR DESPERATE ,

First , keep in mind ,
Boyfriend 5.0 is an Entertainment Package , while
Husband 1.0 is an operating system.

Please enter URL command: ithoughtyoulovedme.html and try to download Tears 6.2 and do not forget to install the Guilt 3.0 update.
If that application works as designed , Husband 1.0 should then automatically run the applications Jewellery 2.0 and Flowers 3.5.

However , remember , overuse of the above application can cause Husband 1.0 to default to Grumpy Silence 2.5 , Happy Hour 7.0 or Beer 6.1 .
Please note that Beer 6. 1 is a very bad program that will download the Farting and Snoring Loudly Beta.

Whatever you do , DO NOT under any circumstances install Mother-In-Law 1.0 (it runs a virus in the background that will eventually seize control of all your system resources.)

In addition , please do not attempt to reinstall the Boyfriend 5.0-program ..These are unsupported applications and will crash Husband 1.0 .

In summary , Husband 1.0 is a great program , but it does have limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly. You might consider buying additional software to improve memory and performance. We recommend
Cooking 3.0 and
Hot Lingerie 7.7.

04 January 2009 marks the 6 months of our relationship.
It hasn't been too long neither was it short.
there were sweet(chocolate buffet etc.) moments and there were bitter(Emotions roller coaster rides etc.) ones.
There were funny moments and there were embarrassing moments
All which happened during this period of 6 months, was truly memorable!

I hope year 2009 would be a even better year for us :)

anyway, have been catching up with my friends over the weekends.
Watched "The College (M18)" overall a really funny cheap flick made for guys kinda comedy, which content quite a handful of boobs scenes.
similar concept as "Super Bad"
High schooler looking for college experiences before stepping into college life.
basically light hearted, laugh out loud film.
2.5/5 if you have the time to chill out why not :)

Work has been really difficult recently, not that there's any additional new task for me to work on. But the amount I'm handling (thanks to my very hard working colleague) and also some work stress generated by my superior.
Not to mention the increasing amount of mistake i made -_-

Hopefully before i explode and break down. i will be served with a hot green tea sitting down on a comfy chair and getting a pat on my shoulder for being such good "crap" taker cause of those miscellanies mundane tasks i do.

How should i say.

I received a call in the middle of the night around 3.40+ AM from my colleague "how delightful"

Asking to go back to work while i should be happily enjoying my off day today without being disturbed, hell ! no way I'm going back just because you wishes to take mc

so i said "if you want to take mc, go ahead cause I'm on off." can't be bothered and switched off my phone.

It took me quite awhile to get back to sleep -.-

that's not the worst part, what's worst was this morning while i was still on my bed sleeping. My boss called and ask me to return to work as there were urgent stuff to be cleared. That better be the case, if not i will be flaring up like a dummy on fire !

Having to force take (AM) off when i have a full day off -.- who of the right mind would do that -.-

But i obliged as i have no other choice but to go back to work this afternoon.

Word of advice

Maturity leads to uncontrolled impulsive actions/thoughts. Usually those actions results severe consequences which you might later regret.

Every step of the journey is a chance to learn :)

So think twice before you let your anger rule over your mind/body.

you never know when will patience would wear thin on you.

Recently much things had happened, i don't wish to talk about it in details.

a brief description is that my closest cousin isn't feel very well. I just hope my prayers would reach the ears of god.

Choco buffet !

Went to Fullerton for Chocolate buffet ! :) it was truly sweet and tasty despite not being a very big fan or sweet stuff.

The ambient and the atmosphere was very romantic, so was the day during noon.

Woke up early in the morning and made a reservation for 2 at fullerton.

Met Juliana around 3 at my MRT station, and trained down to city hall to shop as the buffet only starts at 8p.m.

Shopped around raffles city, but came out empty handed even though there were quite a number of sales going on, but none caught our attention.

Ate at Shokudo Street, which has similar concepts with Marche. order -> scan -> pay on the way out. Food taste on the ratio 3/5. but the environment was pretty comfy.

Left Raffles city and headed to Marina Square, wanted to catch a movie as we had 2 hours before clock strikes 8. But twilight timing didn't match our time :(

talking about movie reminds me of "The Day The Earth Stood Still" i watched a few days ago, it has a good blend of story plots along with good cast but all i can say is that the ending was unexpectedly bad ? climax and end ! 2.5/5 if you need a rating.

After some window shopping , we got out of Marina Square and headed to esplanade cause it was nearer to fullerton.

took a rest outside esplanade to take a rest initially and later realise that , there a performance going on later.

didn't snap any photos during the performances by the Philippines choir as photo/video capturing was not allowed during the performance.

But we did trigged away before and after the show : )

Got to the table which i reserved earlier, 2 nice and comfy chair and a christmas decorated candle stand.

Fine wine and cocktails but we didn't had any , cause jul didn't wanted to drink. :)

so we had soft drinks and plain water instead. The most attractive dessert there was the cakes ! coming out from a Cake-hater, you should know that those cakes are not your average cakes.

Photo quality was affected due to the inadequate lighting within the Hotel, so to create a nice and relaxing environment for dining.

Hellos !!

gosh gosh gosh ... it's bee awhile since i last felt this excited about blogging : )

for the past few weeks , i almost have negative blogging urge.

but good news !! i finally got that urge back.

Have been visiting Expo this few days because of Sitex IT fair which is held there.

Met Wei Jian for the very last time before he head to Paris this coming tuesday (that lucky kid !) Not going to miss him : P haha..

The moment we reached the exhibition hall where all the company are supposed to be, the only one common reaction we both had was "Gosh, So jam PACKED !" it's as if things were dirt cheap or people just wants to take a look ?

less then an hour and we were out !

Felt quite bad because i left the place to meet Qiutin, but he was very understanding : )

It's seem always easy to crap a lot with Qiutin, which provided that temporary escape from reality. Not thing too sensitive and always balanced between lame and crappy. haha..

Had lunch at cine leisure Korean BBQ "i love the Korean Charboiled" yummy !

haha.. which proved QT wrong because she kept saying that a lot of people told her that the food doesn't taste good.

And she LEFT her mobile phone on the table !!!

hahaa.. only after we travel from (arrows to indicate)

What a day for me today, have been helping out with house chores the whole day (sweeping, wiping, mopping etc.)

Took a day off, because mummy just recovered from her diarrhea so i could take care of her and help out with the house chores.

Had been quite a day for me, but the sense of achievement was enormous ! :)

besides helping out with chores, i also cleaned my drawers and arranged my magazines which was taking up a lot of space previously. Now that they are all, my room feels spacious and clean again !

But to work i go !

Yes yes yes , it's been ages since i last updated my blog properly. even I, myself is starting to complain.
